This society was founded in the 1960s with
the aim of providing educational and social links between the
Huddersfield/Dewsbury area and the Scandinavian countries. At one time, there
were over a hundred active members, but the society's membership is gradually
declining and nowadays has only has a few active members (less than 10) with
about twice as many additional participants at occasional social events
throughout the year. Anyone who is Scandinavian or has an interest in
